I had a strange dream the other night.

I was in my backyard looking up at the sky. It was a grey, overcast sky. I noticed that this particular dream was in black and white, for some reason it’s a detail I made sure to remember. Anyway, in the distance, up in the sky I see a black dot moving and growing as it quickly sped closer to my house, all the time floating. I stared at the object with amazement and fear, because I didn’t know what it was and I didn’t want it to land on me! As the object grew closer, I was able to make out what it was, and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. It was a giant whale, or rather, a normal sized right whale, which is giant by nature. I’m watching this thing, following it as it approaches and something in me knows what’s going to happen next. It comes right above my house and hovers for the briefest moment before falling through the roof with a loud boom! I freeze for a while because first, I can’t believe a whale just fell on my house from the sky! Secondly, I don’t want to know that that poor whale is probably hurt after having fallen. And lastly, I didn’t want to face the damages to the house.

I was able to get myself moving and I ran into the house through the back door, and up the stairs to the hall way. Sure enough, the whale lay still in the middle of the hall with it’s tail hanging over the top stair. Somehow it fit, I think it might have shrank but I can’t be sure. My husband, whose office is near the hall where the whale landed, came running out to investigate what all the noise was about. Star, my kitty, also came out from wherever she was hiding and she sniffed around the whale before curling up to rest at the tail of the stranded sea creature. I was in total panic and was trying to get my husband to dial 911, but I took his phone and hung up and was trying to get the number for the Aquarium, since they would be better equipped to deal with this situation. But I kept entering the wrong letters in the search box and I was concerned about the whale dying and Star laying next to it. And I couldn’t get the phone to work!

Then I woke up.
